VOLUME OF HOLLOW CONCRETE COLUMN
The calculation of the volume of the hollow Concrete column is very easy and simple. For your better understanding lits take this example.
EXAMPLE:
Let’s take we have a column have a height 4 m and the inner radius of the column is 0.2 m and outer is 0.5 m so calculate the volume of the Hallow column.
Given Data:
H = 4 m.
R = 0.5 m.
r = 0.2 m.
#Where
h = Height of the hollow column.
R = Outer radius of the hollow column.
r = Internal radius of the hollow column.
The formula for calculating the volume of hollow column is given below:
Solution:
Volume = (πR²h – πr²h)
= πh ( R² – r²)
= 3.14 x 4 ( 0.5² – 0.2²) [∵ π =3.14]
= 12.56 ( 0.25 – 0.04)
= 12.56 x 0.21
= 2.6376 m³ Ans…..
